Cincinnati Reds right-hander Josh Fogg received 30 stitches for a split upper lip after being hit in the mouth by a ball during batting practice yesterday. A ball hit by Joey Votto smacked Fogg, who was in the outfield. A trainer held a towel to the front of Fogg's face as he left the field. Fogg (2-2, 7.09 ERA) is scheduled to start Friday against Colorado. He has made seven starts and seven relief appearances.
