What’s up everybody. Hope you had a safe and enjoyable 4th. I’m back home after a busy weekend in Daytona, and I’m already packing my bags for Chicago. In the meantime, we’ve got a couple of things to do this week, but nothing too grueling. I want to thank everybody who passed along nice remarks about my Daytona weekend, and the cool digital camo paint scheme we ran on the National Guard car. I thought it was cool myself, and was pretty proud of the paint job my guys did on it.

I want to make sure everyone is up to speed on the new episodes of Shifting Gears. The fourth episode airs Tuesday, July 22, and the fifth and final episode airs Friday, July 25. Both air times are 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Obviously a lot has happened since the last episode, including JR Motorsports’ NASCAR Nationwide Series win at Nashville, and my Cup win at Michigan. Both were milestone moments in this crazy year, and both are significantly documented in the new episodes with behind-the-scenes footage and commentary. You’ll probably hear me say this several times over the next month, but I want to thank all the people at Hammerhead Entertainment for their hard work on Shifting Gears.

Aside from that, I’m just chilling out and making my rounds. I’m doing some promotions over the next few weeks for the Dale Jr. Foundation. I’m giving up my personal 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe for the Foundation. Fans can have a chance to win it by going to www.DaleJrFoundation.org.
