The Dallas Cowboys continue to discuss what they are going to do with receiver Terry Glenn. Sources said the situation will be resolved before the team charter departs for training camp in Oxnard, Calif., on Thursday, and releasing the veteran remains an option.
Glenn, 33, has not practiced in the off-season because he refused to sign an injury waiver. The waiver would reduce his salary from $1.74 million to $500,000 in the event of a season-ending injury to his damaged right knee.
The Cowboys could release Glenn if they dont feel the risk is worth it. The sides could still find a middle ground to allow the veteran receiver another shot at playing.
Agreement reached with sixth-round pick
The Cowboys have reached an agreement with Erik Walden, a sixth-round pick from Middle Tennessee State. Walden was expected to sign a four-year deal worth $120,000 per year Tuesday night, said his agent, David Rich. Walden is expected to play outside linebacker.
